Jersey creation readme file anywhere?

Ok people...I have been playing EA's NHL games since '92, but only recently on PC, and now I have a couple of jersey projects in mind, and I need to know how to create and install jerseys, files for players pictures, and their (I guess this is the term) cyberfaces. I am so new to this that I haven't even tried it yet, and I need all the instruction I can get. Is there a readme file for this? What utilities do I need? Will it all work on XP? I work in digital photography, so the photoshop work shouldn't be too hard.
