NHL2009.exe there was a problem and needs to close

I installed the game and when I try to open that message appears the nhl2009.exe encountered a problem and needs to close, someone could help me.
changed all forms of compatibility and has the same problem help me

mine is version WINDOWS XP 1500 + 1.34GHz Athlon 2002 AMD. 256 MB RAM Video Card GEFORCE4 8X64M MX440 DDR

Gave up NLH09. And installed NHL08 and is happening the same error, I checked the requirements and are the same as Madden 08 and NBA Live 08 that I have installed and works normally. Does NHL08 also not supported. I downloaded the update on the NVIDIA site FORCEWARE_93.71 is the latest and it did not work. Any idea what might be? Or really not play the NHL? I appreciate your patience and your attention! Do you have MSN?

NBA according to EA site. Your video card is not supported.

Not supported means that it may or may not work and can not guarantee that it will work. Buyer Beware.

The only thing really is either get a new computer or get a new video card that is supported.
