Fellow Vista user here. Would I be right to presume this is the case for older versions of the game as well? For me, that would be NHL06.

the bat file comes with the download. It is used to install the addon
if it doesn't come with a bat file, read the readme, it will tell you how to install the addon

Rosters don't work with Vista 64
Hi
I don't know why. I did everything I think.
Whwn under XP, had no problems installing add-ons and rosters. Under Vista 64, I succeeded with Ice rings, but I just can't get the rosters to work.
I killed UAC, put the files where it goes as described in the readme file. I modified the Vista32BH.BAT to send it to the good directory. I ran Vista32BHimport.
It didn't work.
Still get Saku Koivu with Canadiens de Montreal. 8-((
What's up ?

They work on 64 Bit because I have 64 Bit.
After you turned off UAC, did you restart your PC?

Vista 64
Yes I did.
Before I turned it off, it was unable to write files in the right place and I got error messages in the DOS window.
Now, it says everything's OK, but when I do select Play Now, the rosters are the old ones...

I used Vista32BH instead of BHimport09, because it gave me error messages with the last one.
In your post you talk about NHL08 Addons tools. I used NHL09 Addons, I think. Should it be the reason why it doesn't work ?

the bat file is the file that is from the addon you downloaded that is used to install the addon.
make sure the addon files are in the main game folder

Add-on problems to windows 7
I've been trying to install all of the last downloads for NHL09 since I upgraded to a new computer that has windows 7 operating system with no luck. I've found your download process for Vista & windows 7 and am going to try it but my first question is why do you have to install the game in both program files:....... Install the game in C:\Program Files\EA Sports\NHL 09 folder for 32bit Vista and C:\Program Files (x86) \EA Sports\NHL 09 folder for 64bit Vista. I curently have it installed in the C:\Program Files (x86) \EA Sports\NHL 09 folder.

you don't have to install it in 2 places.
The locations are based on what version of Vista or 7 you have.
