NHL 09 gamepad problems

Hi guys,

i'm philipp and i live in germany. First of all i would like to say this seems to be a great board for nhl stuff!

I have a big trouble with my gamepad! Its is an dualshock 2 gamepad from the playstation2 which is connected with an "ps2 to usb" converter. All buttons work fine in the game but they are all interchanged.

The biggest problem is, that i surely can live with that because i can manually change them with the custom settings.

BUT it seemes to be inpossible to change the analog sticks because if i want to shoot i have to put the richt analog stick from the right to the left side instead of back and forwards( left stick works fine)

I would be happy if anyone could help me because NHL 09 isn't fun without the right gamepad settings!

the game does not support the controller you have though

CONTROLLER ISSUES

Controller Calibration
In order for your controller to work properly in NHL® 09, you must
install and calibrate it in Windows. To install or calibrate your
controller in Windows, access the Control Panel, and launch the
Game Controllers applet.

Note that some gaming devices use their own applets or software for
installation and calibration.

NHL® 09 recommends the Logitech Dual Action controller. This
controller will give access to all the gameplay features.

First of all thank you for your support but I do not want to buy a new controller for each game :-)

So if there is another solution beside buying a new controller I would be very happy!

Would I be right to assume this is the reason why a cant bring my camera down to get a player perspective in replay mode?

edit, I just noticed that I cant do this in the keyboard either. So this must not be my answer.
