I created a goalie and I've been trying to figure out how to give him his own unique pad set. I've browsed through the threads and I found one regarding changing the created goalies pads in NHL 2004 I think. I did the same thing(in NHL 2005) - took the players art number(8109) and made a 'goalies_8109.fsh' file and then imported it using big-gui yet he still has the default pads. Is there something else I need to do in order to get it to work? Is there another way of doing it?

Yeah you need to change what team the game has him listed as to whatever team you wan't his pads to appear on.

The file is called goalie mask fix but it makes the pads+mask to whatever the goalie actually has show up on the team.

NHL 04 was better becuase each team had default goalie gear and the goaalies kept their gear after trades but 05 is pretty mesed up but gameplay is better IMO then 04.

I've already done that, still defaults : ( but thanks anyways, I think im going to try some other things i guess dont know what the problem is

oh nevermind lol - there were two instances of my created player

Latest nhlview has solved the problem just change the players default team and save.
Goalies number must have four numbers for examble goalies_0000.fsh.
