Anyone get NHL View working with 09 yet?

As the title said, anyone successfully use NHL view with their copy of 09?

there is a trick, go to hockeydownloads.com, there is a big thread about 09 and it has how to do the trick there

I used it with no problems, no errors so I'm not sure what the trick needs to be.

I was referring to seeing all the teams, not just the teams that were in the game last year.

Thanks! Although im not sure I had to do anything (I have all the damn mod tools since 06, and I tried using the 06 version of nhl view, not the update for 08).

I know I was just saying at first I was using the wrong version, I had more than one on my PC and just grabbed the wrong one initially.

To use NHL View you need open the DB.viv with BigGUI export the nhl2009PC.tdb and rename it to nhl2008PC.tdb then export it back into your game. NHLview will then work.

yep and do not compress and rebuild. Also run BHImport afterwards

i did what you guys said and nhlview opens now. i have one question. when i open bvhrosters i have all the nhl and ahl but i have about 20 teams in blue that are named AAA, BBB, CCC ect.

is this just from bvh's rosters are incomplete fornhl09 or did i do something wrong? what other teams might i be missing that are the AAA and BBB and CCC ect.

i did not compress and rebuild, i did exactly what was ordered.

i noticed no NHL teams in NHL View for 09 have any additional players listed... why is this? I have downloaded the latest bvh roster for 09.. in NHL 07 i have tons of additionals for every NHL team, what could be the reason for this? how did i get that in NHL 07? for instance the Red Wings, in additionals practically the whole Grand Rapids team is listed that I can call up... not the case in NHL 09.

additionals are so that teams can have more than the allowed players on the roster.

Go into the transaction screen and copy each player from Grand Rapids to Detroit. Once the limit is reached, NHL View will move any upcoming copied players to the additionals. If you want to move a player from the regular roster, check the following Tutorial

ya thats definitely a way to do it.. but how were they there in 07 and not in 09? was it some roster i downloaded .. because i always been using bvh rosters, and i surely did not do what you suggested in 07.

because the roster maker has to put the players in the additionals list.

I am having an issue with NHLview and or rosters in general. My rosters seem to "reset" on its own. Seems to be when i add a large number of players. I can add a player save. start the game and there he is. exit add more players, start nhl again and boom default rosters.

EDIT: Havent tried it, but would "synchronize with static database" help out with my issue? I assume if my static and exh rosters are the same it will have no choice but to default to my roster no matter what.

I have them same problem, you can try the synchronize with static database and see what that does. Otherwise, you will have to wait until NHL View 09 is released.

I'm a bit confused......

I got to the point of renaming nhl2009pc.tdb to nhl2008pc.tdb. I put that new tdb file on my desktop. How do I export it back without compressing it? Do you guys mean "Import" it with BigGUI? Where exactly is that file going?

the new file now will load the rosters in NHL View

There is NHL View that works with 09.

Yes, you can edit players and it is for 09. My sig has a Basic NHL View Tutorial llink in thee, click on it and it will tell you how to use it.

How do you change the salary, I not sure where and how do you change the stats also and save because I have an error if I try to save

Player Salary: Team Info tab that is below the Player ID number (Green Background and number is uneditbable) then type in the number
Team Salary: Dynasty Finances Tab, edit the Salaries then type in the number
Player Stats: Click on Stats or Year By Year stats tab at the top of program which is to the right of the Data tab then type in the number
Team Stats: Click on Stats tab at the top of the program which is to the left of the Lines tab then type in the number
Save: Click on the Floppy Disk icon at the top of the program

what does the error message say

I seem to have the error problem gone, but how do you change the team salary, I cant find it anywhere. If you could sceenshot it, it would be very helpful. If you edit a player stats, will they show up or they will not be in the game? I also cant find the dynasty icon anywhere

I only get a error when I try to save the player stats

team salary is only when you are changing the dynasty rosters and as I said already
Dynasty Finances Tab, edit the Salaries then type in the number

stats should show up in game.

there is not dynasty icon, I said the Floppy Disk Icon.

make sure you have the addon tools in the main game folder
