Trouble With BvH Roster Update

Sorry is this has already been addressed, but I've tried everything I can think of, and followed the readme exactly.

I put the files in the correct places, and since that didn't work, I used nhlview, and selected the files, and selected Syncronize static players, but it didn't work at it did for other people, is there any advice?

(This is for NHL08 by the way, and I also have a jersey update in.)

do you have the NHL 08 Addon Tools in the main game folder?

to get it to work try this

genbhnhl,ImpBIG,gfxpak Put them all in C:Programs/NHL08

extract exhibition.exh /to My Documents/NHL08 folder.

extract exhibition.exha.tdb / to My Documents/NHL08 folder.

extract db.viv In DB folder /C:Program nhl08/DB

Run Bimport after to take update

im having the same problem
im on vista
but i dont know where to put db.viv file and where to update from!!!
i know there is a vista 32 nh import 07 file nd bhimport08 but where do i put the file???

you need to copy the whole main game folder to your My Documents game folder

i ran the bhimport08
when i go to the game then the rosters are all normal
no marian hossa on pens

If I don't install the igame in Program files, where do I install it???

Hi Guys,

on Vista you have some Problems in cause of the User restrictions.
Right click on the .exe-Files and activate "runs as Admin" and "behave like XP SP2". Then it should work to. With every installation.

Uh oh...

Now when I try to run the game, it works fine, until I try to start actually playing, at which point it crashes. I go to Play Now, select my teams, and after the final screen, but just before the game actually starts, it crashes.

I am using XP, and I have installed the BvH Roster Update 20 for NHL08, but I did everything that it says to do. I have a feeling that it isn't connected to the roster update.

if specific teams using NHL View, make sure both teams have 18 players dressed and 2 goalies, 1 C and 2 As

also make sure you have the addon tools in the main game folder and run BHImport after you install the rosters

I think its all teams. I tried Calgary v. NYR, which made it crash, and I checked and they both have 18 players and 2 goalies, 1 C and 2 As dressed. I ran BHImport several times, with genbhnhl and gfxpak and ImpBIG in C:\Program Files\EA SPORTS\NHL 08 and it still doesn't work.

Can`t be a reason for crashing the game (NHL08)! I tested this months ago!
For example if you havn`t a goalie dressed a skater is in the goal..looks funny.....

I`m 100% sure the reason for his problem isn`t the roster!
I know only one reason that the roster can be the problem:
The dynasty/season bug

Stop there can be another reason:
Changing the roster files for example with BigGui (delete a file or rename it)
but i think MoosePasteInventor did nothing like this

The problem was not with dynasty or season mode, but with play now. If the bug is the problem, how do I fix the dynasty/season bug?

You have the problem not only by trying to play a season/dynasty so it isn`t this bug.

Have you use BigGui to change something?
Have you all important tools in the main NHL08 folder?
Does you ran BHImport/VistaBHImport ?
Maybe you delete a important file
............

I don't think I changed anything, I'm pretty sure I have all the important tools in the main NHL08 folder, I ran BHImport several times, and I'm pretty sure I didn't delete any important files.

However, when it asked me if I wanted to replace the old file with the new one of the same name, I said "Yes". Is that bad?

no, that's good as that replaces the old file to the new file so that you get the updated rosters.

where did you put the 2 exhibition files?
