DCHL Sim Hockey

I’d like to extend an invitation to join the DCHL. The DCHL is a 20-team league using the STHS platform for operations. We are looking to upgrade our franchise ownership in two locations due to lacklustre activity. The DCHL does not permit absentee ownership so if you are interested, expect to be actively involved in building a winning franchise. I am not at liberty to disclose the teams that are available at this time and not interested in prospective GM’s applying to cherry-pick.

The GM’s in the league are generally quite active and you’ll see that once you’re accepted into the league and registered on the message boards. They’re a highly competitive group who spend a fair amount of time trying to improve their teams through trades, good drafting, or strategic free agent signings. The free agency in the DCHL is unlike most sim hockey leagues as it uses true negotiations to form contract extensions and free agent signing. There are no free rides in terms of keeping players just because you’ve had a certain player for ages. Players sign as UFA’s where they’re going to get the best opportunity and financial remuneration.

The DCHL is not a perfect league but it is a dedicated league which is perpetual in nature. Although rosters begin with a representative appearance reflective of NHL rosters, there is no expectation that this will continue as trades, retirement, and free agency start to misshapen the roster formations. Since the DCHL progresses at a pace faster than the NHL, you can expect fictional players to be included into approximately every 2nd draft class.

I’m looking for people who want to jump in with both feet and start moulding their franchise into the type of organization they want it to be and who want to support the foundation of this league with your efforts. This league will only grow to be as good as those who participate in it.

DCHL has a rare opening for a general manager for the winnipeg jets franchise. We are in the conference finals and will be starting the next season shortly after the conclusion of this one so NOW is the perfect time to join.
