Thats a question I've been trying to find the answer to for a while now. Why is it that in "Play Now" mode you can watch the cpu play the cpu but not in "Season mode"?

I know most will think this strange, but I want to select my team and watch the season cpu vs cpu. I would just like to know for sure either way that it either is or isnt possible to do.
When I go into "play now" mode, I can select the teams I want to watch and then leave all the controller options in the middle (thereby not having to select one certain team to control). However, if I try this in "season mode", it tells me to select a controller and will not let me just leave the controller option in the middle. I dont want to control a certain team, I just want to watch my team go through the season.

Maybe strange, but its true. Anyone know for absolutely sure that you cannot watch the games in "season mode" just as you can in "play now" mode? If so, I dont understand why. If you can watch cpu vs cpu in "play now" mode, why not let you watch it in "season mode" too?
