Another one of these posts, I know

I think this is the 3rd time I've made one of these posts where I say I am stepping down or quitting Depot, blah blah blah.
Only difference with this post is that I am actually giving up my influence and admin powers for the best interest of NHLDepot.

For 4 years now I have been the head admin in the absense of Rico and TNK and our beloved friend, Earl. Over that time we have had a weird influx of members and activity and then people drop off all together. Now, this isn't a wah thread. Or a pity me thread. But let's get a few things straight right now and for the last time.

There are people at other forums who think I am a tyrant racist who apparently bans people for speaking their minds. I force people to do what I want and I never have anything or anyone else in mind or in better interest. I have tried my best to make this site grow but I am facing a losing battle. When new members go around to other sites there is this infamous legend that is Yammer. These new members hear these "facts" and suddenly believe this crap and then think they can talk to me however they want to and basically try and goad me into trying to defend myself which ends up with me being banned and the people still continue to talk the shit.
For new members throughout the community (all sites are in one community) you honestly shouldn't listen to many of these rumors and try to hold a grudge against someone when you don't know the facts or even have talked to the person. Whenever I post, people are automatically on defense but this is fine I guess. You can't buy this kind of reputation and no matter how hard you shake it, it will always be there when people keep bringing up ancient crap.

I cannot continue to be one of the leaders for this site and try to make things better here for people who want addons or people who need help making them work. I cannot continue to do my job as an admin when I am pretty much the biggest reason this site cannot grow. My reputation is holding people back from coming here, fearing I am going to rip their heads off.
I cannot sit by and watch this site continue to stand still and I know I have to step down in the best interest of NHLDepot and its members. I am not bitter towards ANYONE and any group. I have way too many things going on in my life that there is no more energy to fight the tide against me or hold ill feelings towards people who hold them against me.

I want to see this sit grow and soon people will once again realize that NHLDepot is the ONE site for addons. We have the largest database for all the games from NHL 99 to NHL 07. The server NHLDepot is on reliable and always has been. I know the staff here are a great group of guys and will lead this site back to the days where, yes, we competed with a place called Thunderpuck.

I just want to thank the staff here for being a great group of guys and helping me try and better this site. I'm not leaving the site, as I will still be a basic member. I hold no power or no influence. I am the same as everyone else in black and will be treated the same.

I hope people give this site a second chance and not to use me as an excuse anymore for avoiding this place. Its a great site with great people and great addons. Let's just enjoy it all and have fun.

Personally, Yammer and I have had our problems in the past. Over the last year our internet frienship (sounds gay I know) has grow very strong and I have more respect for this guy than anyone out there.

I am very disappointed and saddenned to see Yammer leave his ranks at NHL Depot. I feel he will be a hard guy to replace and he always wants what is best for the site.

Yammer is a good guy, and an awesome friend indeed. Come on guys, put your pasts behind and don't hold a damn grudge. Life is to short to put up with all the bullshit. Just try to have some fun!

lets not turn this into any kind of hate thread. Although I dont agree with the decision, I understand it and why Chase has decided to make it.

He honestly thinks it is for the best boys, and unfortunately we should respect that. So embrace him as a member of this community, and show everyone that visits here that they are sorely mistaken when it comes to their opinion on Chase, considering that 90% were'nt around when any of the past actually took place and really have no right to pass judgement.

I second that.

Even if people had trouble with you I don't think they associate your opinions and decision with Depot. You deserve to be a high ranked staff. Whatever you did, you helped Depot since the beginning. Bad publicity is still publicity. I don't think you made a bad reputation because like everyone you are free to express what you think.

True enough, I just find it upsetting that internet trolls (how pathetic are those) would force him to step down from the reins of the site he forged into what we see today.

Its my only one for 2007. My last one was in the year 2006.
