Wal-S**t
Ok, so today I go to Wal-Marde (Small frenchie joke that means wal-s**t(it's actually funnier in french than in english)) with my mom to help her finding my little cousin a birthday present. Since he is 7, I figured he'd like to play with action figures.
Wal-Marts all over Quebec started a campaign called Achat-Québec, which is basicly a campaign to sell stuff made in Quebec.
Back to the story. So I head to the toys section. Can't find any toys made in Quebec. Then, I see a bag filled with a boatload of little plastic soldiers (the toys we used to play with when we were little). The bag has the Achat-Québec tag on it, which means it's made in Quebec. Perfect. So we come back home and start looking for a present bag. While my mom was looking for one, I was looking at the bag. Something caught my attention: The plate under the little soldiers. A small writting on it: "Made in China". I went beserk and ran over to Wal-Mart with the bag to get a refund (we're really patriotic so we don't like those kind of lies). I got my 12$ back, so I'm a little happier, but still pissed because of this.
Any thoughts?

You said it Yams... Sorry dude, but I'm 100% with Yammer on this one. Who cares if it's made in Quebec or not. Why is Quebec so anti-Canadian... I don't understand it. Montreal seems to be an exception though. By the way, isn't it "merde"?
PS. Everything is made in China, except world-class hockey players.

Well, I'm a Bauceron (from the Bauce region). We have a pretty special accent.
instead of "merde" we say "marde", instead of "droite" we say "drette", etc.

and if your call your self patriotic say it when you mean all of canada, if your just going to refer to quebec that's being a separtist (i think that's the word i'm looking for). don't want to insult you or anything, it's something you were raised with obviously, so you just following what you've learned, we can trace the blame all the way back to france.

Anyways, back to the subject. The thing that annoyed me most is that wal-mart constantly lies to us to make us buy more.

Technically you just typed a racist comment, if French was a race. Let's try and keep this clean boys. New year and I don't think anyone wants the first suspension.

He's actually right. When you look at it, The French DID hate the English, right?

I'm so happy, I bought my Xbox 360 two bucks cheaper than in other store.
I don't think that 2 dollars was the reason I went to Wal-Marde.
It was during the boxing day and the line in front of the future shop was humongeous (eh?) and the one at the wal-mart was quite smaller, so I went to wal-mart. I don't get why people goes there if they just gonna save 5 dollars.
I'm tired... So don't mind me.

i said france, not the french, i was refering to the country, and the history behind them settling in the quebec area, if france never came to canada we wouldn't be having this discussion in the first place. that is what i meant with that comment. believe me i'm anything but a racist.

WAIT A MINUTE!!!!!!!! Has no one else seen the irony in Karloos' story....................I'm waiting..................... OK, here it goes. He went to WALMART (not a Canadian company ) to purchase items that were made in CANADA......of course their going to lie......do you think they actually support Canadian manufacturers when they can get cheaper stuff from China and the US(Mexico). You should have gone to Loblaws, a CANADIAN owned company to find Canadian made products. Anyway, it is kind of a funny story, you got burned by your own countrymen . It's good thing us Canadians can take a little joke.

Well I don't care if what I buy is made from Quebec or not but if wal-mart try to say it's from Quebec and it's not well that sux.
And dude saying Quebec is anti-canadian is like saying every american voted for Bush.
In fact it's more true for the american fact because Bush is still on the president and we're still a province.

Still you gotta admit to the irony

Yeah, I guess I didn't think very hard. But you still got to admit that wal-mart should be taken deep into the woods and shot dead for making 10 year-olds work for our comfort and satisfaction. It's just disgusting.

according to some people at another site, when you say "I'm not a racist" that actually is your confession. Hell I called someone an immigrant there and was called a racist for it. I didn't specify his race or what country he came from, but calling someone an immigrant is a racist comment. And you never have to explain yourself to me about the french ok?

i'm french and I don't think it's funny. By the way the company that make the toys are located in Québec but the products are made in China.... just like Irwin company.
oh I don't like the PQ for one thing or the seperatist, one ontarians pay income tax from provincial side that goes in Québec we are the only province helping you guys getting out of the hole... and you say that we never helped you guys with anything. well technically you Hydro-Quebec was made with half the money from the federal so that means every province jumped in to pay the biggest hydro production coporation.... but when you go in quebec...it was only made out of Québec's economy....
I feel sorry for half of that population. and for that guy that wants a team Québec... what a retard.
lots of love from Ontario.

I actually heard an old man say this once... and there was something chained in his yard... his rottweiler
