Tinkering More: Fighting

I'm having pretty good success tinkering around to get as close to a realistic sim in NHL 08 as possible. Shots are pretty close, a little high sometimes, penalties are pretty much right, etc. I'm having problems that there are no fights at all in games I play, even with fighting all the way up. I played around with aggression, but it just seems to lead to more penalties and not more fights. I'm not one of these guys who needs 10 fights a game, because it's not very realistic, but one or two would be nice. Any advice?

you have to initiate the fights by pressing the down button on your d-pad

This is going to sound stupid, but I like to just take up one position and not switch. Is there any chance two cpu players will ever drop the gloves? Just curious. I don't get misconducts, double-minors, nothing outside of your normal garden variety hooking/holding/tripping calls.
