well I just found out that Eric Staal has been named the cover athlete for NHL 08. All the platforms WILL be next-gen and they will include all 29 AHL teams. What does everyone think about this. I think its fantyastic. Any feedback would be great.

actually half will be next gen

PC and PS2 will be current gen
360 and PS3 will be next gen.

yeah dont make up lies and say all platforms will be next gen with for PS2 its impossible and PC definately won't be.

Ea Confirms...next years PC title will be last years graphics, this years Next gen A.I...(as expected...)

As we experienced EA of sport Summit in Munich on that, all EA of sport title for the PC are not equipped with NEXT gene diagram. Among them FIFA 08, NHL 08, NBA live one 08, tiger Woods PGA route 08 and Madden NFL 08 fall. Only next year, so planning, one wants to shine also on the PC with better diagram. Theres been no direct confirmation from EA that it will or will not be next-gen. There is a snippet from one of the suits from last year that said all of them should be next gen the following year.

my gut says no annoucement or even a comment on their forums to quell the daily posts on it means pc will be current gen again.

if its the case, that is garbage. most serious gamers PCs crush the consoles. Its a simple $$$ committment on their part and time. lazy mofos

the thing is most of the NHL gamers do not have Next Gen PCs and can not afford Next Gen hardware. Next Gen console is different than Next Gen PCs.

Why do they need to afford it? The beauty of the PC is you can chose lower graphics settings and resolutions if your PC can't handle next gen. As I posted elsewhere, it's just pure lazyness.

it is not pure laziness. It is about the money. Why waste millions and millions of dollars or thousands and thousand of dollars on next gen graphics enhancements for a select few people who have next gen computers. Right now NHL is not a money making game for EA for the PC so they can not justify spending all that money for a select few people.
