PCDVD NHL 07 not running properly
Hey all,
When I try to run the game, all I get is a blank splash screen with music playing, and the only button visible is the exit button. I basically cannot play the game at all. Anyone else experiencing this or know of a fix?

It's when the game is booting from windows. It loads all the "EA Sports" logos, and the trademark screen, but when it gets to the screen that's supposed to have the menus, (I guess) all I see is a little EA logo in the lower left and the Quit button on the upper right, and the music is playing.

No, it's a fresh install, so it should work as advertised.

I more than meet the min requirements. Apparently, I'm the only one who has come across this problem, since no one knows a solution. I'll look somewhere else, because I'm tired of playing 20 questions.

If it's what I think, it got to be the video card setting. You must turn the V-sync on.

I'm using an ATI Mobility Raedon 9700. I don't see any settings for v-sync in the display options. Where would one find the setting to turn it off/on?

There is one system spec to be noted, he is using a notebook.

Even if it's a notebook, it's still a recent computer. And a 9700 is good for NHL 07.
I still think it's about V-Sync. You can still download ATI Tray Tools. Google it and download it.

Nope, tried that. I'm stumped. This is what I'm getting, along with music:
I just don't understand why the menus aren't there. The "Quit" button works, so why not the rest?

As I told you the FIRST TIME you asked that, it's a fresh install...no mods.

Kid, don't offer any more advice please, because it's useless. You're just repeating yourself over and over.

First, I am not a kid.
Second, did you even try all of the links I gave you because if you did, you would not have said repeating myself as none of the stuff I said is in the links
Third, are you too ****ing lazy to go through all of the links yourself because you want others to do it for you?

This is a case of V-sync not being on.

That's what I told him.

When you install ATI Tray Tool, there's a small icon that appear near the clock: a red and white square. Right click on it and go to 3D -> Wait for vertical sync -> Always On.

But where are the settings for V-sync in ATI tray tools? I see every other setting under the sun but that one.

Qu3becker, that did it! I can actually play the game now! lol Wierd how my graphics card wasn't set up with v-sync on already, or that there was no way to turn it on through the stock settings. Thanks for all your help!

I had the same problem forever and the only way to get it to work was to reinstall one specific version of the ATI drivers (6-11_xp-2k_dd_ccc_wdm_enu_37616.exe) and I never could figure out why.
UNTIL NOW!!!!
Thank you very much, turning vertical sync on solved it.
Seems that on the above version of the Catalyst drivers, vertical sync is on by default but it's off on all later versions...
Anyhow, thanks. Now I can use the latest drivers.
