My Wishlist.
Alright, I love the game of NHL 2002. But I still think there could be MANY
>more improvements.
>
>1) "The Olympic Experience": Before you start your franchise mode you will
>have the option to have the Olympic Experience. While you are choosing your
>NHL team, you can also choose an international team (such as Canada). Every
>four years, a highlighted menu will pop up telling you the Olympics will
>start in 1 week. In that time, you will have the chance to choose 18 of the
>top 40 players from the country you selected (Canada). You will choose the
>18 players, and 5 scratches/replacements. After, you will play through the
>tournament, and have it all over again another four years.
>
>2) Better Create a player options. Give the option of hair, style of
>skating, style of shooting, style of jersey (Ex: Berezin's tucked in jersey,
>or Tucker's hang low jersey). Also, if you are creating a goalie, maybe have
>the option to create a goalie mask?
>
>3) Goaltenders playing the puck more. When a dumping occurs, instead of
>having the goaltender take the puck to his net and have it on his stick for
>the puck to freeze, have him play the puck up the boards. And even when the
>puck is frozen by the goalies, have an animation of him atleast smothering
>the puck after his "5 seconds".
>
>4) More injuries. In the NHL, players get hurt every day with high sticks.
>In NHL 2002, the referee's call a hook a high stick. They should have the
>player atleast go down, and he wouldn't even have to be hurt the whole game.
>
>5) More music. There are around 6 or 7 songs in the game. That isn't enough.
>Have different music playing for different times of the game. (Ex: "Bad
>Boys" for penalties/fights, "Song 2-Blur" for Goals).
>
>6) More realistic Offsides. Having some players with one foot over the
>offsides line without it being called.
>
>7) More goalie animations. I'm sick of having a player come in on a
>breakaway, and seeing the goalie open up a 5 hole big enough to fit an
>elephant inside.
>
>8) Bring back the old breakaway deke move from NHL '99.
>
>Please give me your opinion on my ideas. Thank you.
