IAM Mode Patch for NHL 06?

Hi all,

Having a new PC now with a good video-card, I'm finally able to play NHL 06 and newer games in a decent way.

I have a question concerning NHL 06: if I remember well, there once was a tool/patch that made the AI more realistic. I think it was called IAM Mode for NHL 06, and there were 2 or 3 versions made. In many cases this patch was combined with BvH rosters, AFAIK.

I can't find this patch and these rosters in the archives anymore.
Are these still somewhere available to download?

Many thanks in advance for answering.

Greetz,

Marcus.

Dan, thanks for answering.
But I already found that one.
It´s an editor though, and I really don´t know what tweaks I have to do to make the A1 more ´agressive´. I know there was something wrong with the original game, and that changing the agression settings do not really help.
In the mode itself, I remember that the file ´aidata.viv´ (?) was already changed. Long time ago I used it at another PC with a moderate videocard, and it seemed to be working quite right.
But the BvH rosters, with which the mod (up to version 1.2 or so) was downloadable long time ago, have disappeared for NHL 06. And I myself lost the mod in the meantime, too.

Is there anyone who still has it, and who is allowed to upload it again?

AI Tweaks are always user specific, it is best to test them out until you find settings that are suitable for you

True. But NHL 06 was 'lying', if I remember it well, because 'agression' did not have to do anything with 'agression' at all. It's a hard puzzle to find out.

Anyway: I dowloaded an add-on somewhere with rosters and jerseys et al of the NHL 1996/1997 season. And although the rink changes aren't working properly (so I uninstalled them), the game settings are far more to my likings than the ones I used before (with some minor changes by myself). Although I still could use some more action from the opposing team.

Funny: NHL 2005 was Fight Night, and NHL 06 seems to be the Summer of Love.

If gameplay of the 'ancient' games is concerned, I still like NHL 2000 and 2004 the best. Especially NHL 2004 is nicely editable, and somehow the response to my GamePad feels the best in 2004, too.

Thanks for your assistance so far!
