NHL 2004 on a Widescreen Monitor 21"

Has anyone figured out how to get NHL 2004 to work on a widescreen?

My system is running:

Dual Core AMD 4600+
4GB RAM
NVidia 8600 1GB Memory
HPf2105 Monitor
Running Vista Home Premium SP1

I have a Gateway 22" widescreen and it works great on NHL2004 for me. I'm not running Vista though. I just installed the game and it went to widescreen. Sorry I couldn't help.....
