Playing 07 on a 42" plasma

ok i'm trying to play 07 on my 42" plasma tv. i have my computer hooked up to my tv through component and the game seems quite laggyish. i know that my CPU specs are good enough to play the game.

CPU: AMD X2 4200+
MEM: 3GB Of Kingston DDR 400
VIDEO CARD: eVGA 8800GTS

those are the important specs anyone know why its laggy. i'm also playing the game on 800x600 so not a high res either.

my guess is your graphics card is not strong enough to support it to your tv. Is the problem the same when you play on your pc monitor?

my video card is the 2nd highest video card out on the market its like a $500 one i know that its good enough. Fear runs at 70FPS when NHL 07 cant that doesnt make sense i think its something about the games not made for anything big.

Weird, I have a Radeon 9600 Pro 128 mb and my tv is Sony Wega and I can play NHL on my tv up to 1024 X 768 without any lag. So I don't understand how you can't play higher than 800 X 600 on a HD TV with a 500$ video card

Hey, the lag is from the dual core CPU, just disable CPU 1. How you ask?

Start NHL07, then minimize the proggie and bring up the task manager, then right click on nhl2007.exe and the ~e5.0001 process and click on the affinity link and disable or uncheck CPU 1 on each running process. The lag will go away but every once and a while it will seem like the game is running in slow motion.

Hope that helps?

Owen
