Most Realistic Gameplay I've Had Yet on 07...
I think I may have had a major breakthrough....I finally played a very realistic hockey game on NHL 07!!! Computer took a lot more shots, more realistic goals....no more cheap one timers....no more cheap goals from bad angles/from the point!!! Listen up....
I'm Using:
1) My own settings in Iam's TCE...although they are very similar to the ones posted by Sober on DMHN ( http://www.sportsgamer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=132518)....however, I have tweaked a few things to my liking....
2) BVH Roster V12
3) Turned up all goalies in NHLView to 99. (Makes it much harder to score, however; not impossible, just more realistic)
I don't have a screenshot...but here's the final box score of the game....
(I was Minnesota)
MIN SJ
Score 2 1
Shots 32 32
Hits 85 86
Faceoffs 8 21 (really the only lopsided stat)
T.O.A. 7:34 6:20
PIM 4:00 16:00
PP 1/8 0/2 (yep...couldn't capitalize)
The game had great action....lots of great saves by Fernandez and Toskala alike...esp on breakaways and one timers...great high glove saves and blocker saves, and also lots of great action in the neutral zone and lots of mucking and grinding in the corners for loose pucks. I should make a note that I won the game in a shootout, scoring 2 goals to the CPU's 1. This is by the far the best and most REALISTIC game I have played since I've had NHL 07. If you want the aidata files let me know, but I may need help posting them. ( I could email them to someone who knows how.)
I'll have to post what sliders I used sometime tomorrow cause I gotta get to bed....class and work all day tomorrow....I'll get those sliders up sometime tomorrow night (8ish?). It was only one game, but I hope that I am on to something here....let's hope!!! Anyways...I'll get those sliders up as soon as I can tomorrow and then you guys can let me know how it worked for you. Thanks! LET'S GO PENS!!!! Peace!

Nice but the idea of having all goalies at 99 is a turn off for me. post your settings please. I'm working on the game right now with a brand new aidata.viv from a friend a release should come soon.

Sliders are as follows:
Skating - 2
Shooting - 0
Passing - 0
Defense - 7
Intensity - 7
Dumping - 4
Injuries - 6
Game Speed - 2
Speed Burst - 2
Fatigue Recovery - 2
Player Accel. - 0
Puck Control - 0
Fatigue Effect - 7
Checking
Hitting Power - 7
Hitting Difficulty - 7
Aggression - 6
Shooting AND Passing - all 0's
Defense
All 7's
Dumping
All 4's
Eugene....I take that back...I did not make all goalies 99 overall, rather I adjusted at LEAST every goalies (including backups) recovery and speed to 99....THEN adjusted EVERY STARTING GOALIE'S glove and stick attributes to 99....highest goalie overall is broduer and luongo at 98....only because they are realistically the best and therefore i raised there other attributes such as intensity, potential, etc. to make them higher than the rest. Every STARTING goalie is rated somewhere between 90-98 respective to their real life abilities (i.e. 96, 97, 98's being the likes of giguere, dipeitro, kiprusoff, lundqvist, broduer, turco, hasek, luongo, ward, miller, etc. and the low 90's being starters such as denis, holmqvist, cloutier, garon, aebischer, thomas, nittymaki, etc. you know starting goalies but maybe not the ones that put up the numbers and everyone else falling in between from like 93-96 (like fleury, raycroft, emery, gerber, joseph, legace, lehtonen, fernandez, toskala, etc.) If someone wants, I can email them my files. I'm going to play some more games to further test these settings, hopefully, I have finally found the kind of gameplay I am looking for. I love the fact that I have to actually set up and cycle the puck in the offensive zone to set up a scoring chance. I'll keep you guys posted!

hahaha...nice legion...I miss Lange on TV...if FSN had any brains they'd put him and Steigy back together...though I LOVE Errey as a color guy, Penguins hockey on TV isn't the same without Mike Lange....but anyways...just finished up a second game....I'm not too thrilled with the results due to my inflated shot total...but nonetheless...scoring was once again realistic....I was Calgary.
CAL ANA
Score 3 2 (in OT....Langkow ties it with 30 secs to play on the PP with the goaltender pulled)
Shots 42 16
Hits 92 92
Faceoffs 18 26
TOA 7:05 4:01
PIM 14:00 14:00 (this was a penalty riddled affair)
PP 3/6 1/7
Overall, the game could have been a little bit more balanced...I was putting on immense pressure and took a few slappers from the point just to test out Giguere...so that could count for a few extra shots on my part. I would have liked to have seen the computer shot total higher, but it's only the 2nd game I've played on these settings. I will continue to experiment and continue to update. Legion...tomorrow night....rematch in Toronto....I'm feelin a 4-1 pens victory...Crosby 2 G 1 A.....whadda ya think?

3rd game...this one was the shoot out I expected....I was the Pens.
PIT DET
Score 7 4
Shots 25 29
Hits 126 90
Faceoffs 11 24
TOA 4:45 6:58
PIM 17:00 11:00
PP 1/3 2/6
2 of my goals were breakaways...while it is quite unreal someone is gonna beat the dominator 7 times in 25 tries, they were legitimate scoring chances and hey everyone has an off night :-)

Staalsy... unreal. I think Sid has been playing hurt the last few games, dude. He doesn't have that jump. I think his groin is aggrevating him. Maybe he should take a few off because their schedule is terrible from here on out. I know the Pens can't afford to lose him now, but it would better to rest his injury now then him being worse off in the playoffs. Plus, as far as scoring goes, he can miss a couple because he has a 15 pt lead on the next guy.

Yeah...he is missing that jump in his step...but oh boy...did you see that spin-o-rama he pulled at the start of the game out at the blue line....unreal. And Staal....who would have thought he would have matured THIS quick...and he's learning a new position to top it off! I can smell the home ice, Legion. Let the demolition of the Mellon Arena start early, cause the fans are gonna tear the roof off the Igloo if we get home ice! Would it be a reach if I said the Devils should start watching their backs!? 7 pts back baby!

LOL... they are on a roll, but Brodeur is the best goalie in the league for a reason. I would be content if they finished in 4th that way they don't bring too much pressure on themselves to bring home the cup. They have accomplished more than expected already, so either way, I am proud of our boys. Hopefully Crosby gets some much needed rest in their 3 days off now and they can come back fresh against the Hawks. Oh, call Arnold Slick from Turtle Crik!

Well in that case it's ok in my roster too has all #1 golies over 90
Brodeur is at 98, Hasek 96, Lounog 96..... But I didn't put 1 skills especially at 99 a lot of goaltenders over 94 have 99 for some skills. Anyway I just released the roster recently and I think the gameplay is quite realistic, you should give it a try.

Goalies
Hey guys,
How do I get to set goalies at 99 NHLview ??
Is there any other solution so i get more realistiv goalies performances, they really suck in my dynasty ??
And where could I find the most realistic rosters ??
Thanks

To set all goalies at 99 in NHL View go database/player/modify attributes
It'll be faster like that than editing them one by one.
For the rosters there's 2 out there:
BvH Roster:

NHL Depot Roster:

in your main nhl folder/db.
So look to NHL06 or NHL07 main folder. Then click the db folder located inside. There will be a db.viv file. Click that as the first option. Next option is located inside the NHL06 or NHL07 folder in your documents.
