This is like the third NHL game I have created a Dynasty in. I am a friggin Gamepad ninja, and manage to cream the computer all the time. I never bother trading or anything like that (unless the player is asking for too much, then I let him go and grab a rookie that has high potential).

My question here is, what gets you extra money to upgrade? Do you get upgrade money throughout the season, or only after playoffs? Is it strictly a budget thing, where if your team makes X amount of money they get X amount of upgrades?


How does it all work?


Any help appreciated!!

it is related to gm experience points... u get experience points for making wise trades, generating profits, and for each round of the playoffs you get into.

Thanks Domi. I kinda new the basics, but are there any specifics? For example...

Let say I trade Saku Koivu for some rookie who has crappy stats, but 90 as potential. Will I get points for this trade immediately? Or will it be dependant on whether the player I traded for becomes a big time point scorer?

Does my Manager get extra points if my players win awards like Vezina?

Is there maybe a web page that has more specific reasons why my Manager gets points? Or, much like everything else, there are complex calaculations involved byt the game iteself?

I've been trying to figure out how that works as well. I assume that I'm not getting point because I SIM a lot during the regular season.
