from the ea boards it worked for me so you can fight now if you are using saitek profile editor unistall it or it wont work with this fix:
There was a post while the demo was out about how to edit the registry to get some pads working.
Run Regedit
Then go to:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
Go down to the SYSTEM folder open it
Open ControlSet001
Open Control
Open MediaProperties
Open PrivateProperties
Open Joystick
Open OEM and don't freak out at all the random numdered files like VID_367E&PID_01F7, (It's every controller you've put into your Pc since you installed it)
Select one of those folders and look at the value that has a brown ab in a flag, called OEMName
Look for the folder that has the name of your controller in the data column of that Flag. ( Mine happens to be the very last on the bottom)
When you find it, (write the name down somewhere in case you want to change it back) doubleclick on the little flag and Change the value to "Logitech Dual Action" Minus the quotation marks.
If you're lucky like me, NHL06 Will think it supports your controller and you can play just fine.
The only downside is if you run a software that changes the buttons mapping for you (Like saitek controllers) It won't find your controller. So you could always change it back.
Hope that helps you as much as it has helped me.
