October 13th - Game 3: Canadiens 7 - Flyers 1 - Win

Siedenberg 2 Assists - Primeau 1 Goal 1 Assist - Yelle 2 Assists - Reinprecht 2 Goals - S.Kostitsyn 1 Goal - Salei 1 Goal - Brendl 1 Goal - Kovalev 1 Goal - Stajan 1 Assist

Fun Game Even S.Kostitsyn Dared Primeau To get an interference call interferring with his own brother A.Kostitsyn.

Fleury Made an incredible Accrobatic Save, side jumping, feets in the air all at 7 seconds left in the game to keep is GAA under 2 and having a Save % of 0.966 during the game with 26 saves.

While interviewed Coach Guy said he was happy that his team was still playing the same way the year before, even after the 2009 fantasy draft in july 2008 that took place in St-Louis.

While interviewed GM Gainey had a big smile on his face,on wich i have a feeling was saying "we are gonna win the 2009 stanley cup, this is our 100th year in the NHL"

When asked the question about trades this year Mr.Gainey said "Well i do not want to talk about tis yet,its only been 3 games since the start of the season lets just focus on the game we play. What i can say is that no one (except Malkin and Kovalev) *Laughs* have a place thats rock solid with the team"

Overall Flyers were dominated from start to end, they did not even celebrate there only goal, wich is kind of odd,as NHL teams always celebrates there goal.

Flyers coach said since the start of the season (2 Games) his team did not play well at all,but as the fantasy draft occured july 2008 the players did not get the chance to play "enough" together to be able to play as good as in mid january.

But lets all keep this in mind,Habs will be in the Flyers position one day or the other.

Kovalev Wicked blue line wrister.

Malkin Rebound Goal.

Primeau's Big check on Saku Koivu in the 2nd, Former Canadiens Capitaine Looked "dazed" as he got up, He returned in the 3rd to finish the game.
When asked about the check Koivu said "Well i would of given Primeau a 5 Minutes for Boarding, but its all part of the game, i dont know how many time i got checked like that when i was playing for the canadiens and the opposing team got away with it"

Coach Guy said "We could have done better, Marc-Andre needs to play at a top level so that There is a big gap Betwene us and 2nd place".

Even Tough Canadiens are currently one of the top teams in the league, they still made a move today as they aquired a free agent and traded a player to free up cap space, I guess they just want to make sure to win the cup this year,
One fan said to be outraged by the trade. "I cant beleive it, the team is doing so well and they still got to trade on of our good veteran player for this little guy named torres, im outraged by this trade."
Other said it was the directions way to try and get the cup this year since it is there 100th year in the NHL.
Fans all over the region of quebec Province celebrated after signing Right Winger Jarome Iginla "This is one of the best moves the direction has made.Since Roy left Montreal, no big moves were made by the Montreal Canadiens"
Canadiens Aquired Jarome iginla from free agent and signed a 6.7M$ deal for 1 Year
Canadiens Traded Smyth who had a 7M$/Year contract for Raffy Torres who has a 2.3M$/Year Contract

The new Line up has been announced

Kovalev - Malkin - Iginla
Torres - Reinprecht - Niedermayer
Yelle - Stajan - Carter
Primeau - York - S.Kostitsyn

Whitney - Salei
Bergeron - Ballard
Siedenberg - Melichar

G1: Fleury
G2: Kolzig

October 18th - Game 5: Canadiens 5 - Coyotes 0

Bellard 2 Assists - Yelle 1 Assist - Malkin 1 Goal - Primeau 1 Goal - Carter 1 Goal - Iginla 1 Goal - Reinprecht 1 Goal - S.Kostitsyn 1 Assist - York 1 Assist

Jarome iginla's Entrence as a Montreal Canadiens is a success, he scored the second goal of his team.

Did Malkin hear the rumors about his trade? Because he peformed like he did with pittsburg.

Carter's Breakaway Goal Glove side corner was absolutely incredible, the shot was lauched at such high speed the goalie didnt even have time to react.

Reinprecht is on fire, he scored a goal in the last 4 game and is playing better then sidney crosby at the moment.

Kolzig's Spectacular save 3 seconds left in the 1st period up 1 to nothing. I think that save made the difference in the game, after that save the Montreal Canadiens dominated the Coyotes at every level.

Torres's Played an ordinary game, lets say his entrence as a Montreal Canadiens hasent been as good as Iginl'as one but lets face it, they arent the same players.

Next game October 20th Against Panthers should be quite easy as they are 2-2-0 and hasent been playing good lately.

A: Im really happy for him, He earned it and i hope he will play the next game against Florida since he deserves it more then i do.

Montreal Canadiens made an unexpected move today as they traded Kovalev and Torres to Colorado for Kovalchuk and P.J Axelsson

Montreal's GM Gainey said he has been looking at Kovalchuk for a couple of years now and decided to trade Kovalev for Kovalchuk, the reason given for Kovalev's trade has he was expected to be untradable is because his work is not consistant.

Montreal has also traded other players, Niedermayer was traded for Lagenbruner from Atlanta. Atlanta Also received a 2009 3rd Round Draft Pick.
Brendl was traded for Tootoo
Melichar was traded for White

Whitney 1 Goal 1 Assist - Kovalchuk 2 Goals - Carter 1 Goal - Stajan 1 Goal Salei 1 Goal - Reinprecht 1 Goal - York 1 Assist - White 1 Assist - Axelson 1 Assist - Bergeron 1 Assist

Montreal had trouble keeping up with the Florida Panther, Panthers took a two Goal lead in the first and Montreal went into the first intermission trailing by two.

Florida were not disciplined, as they gave a 3 on 5 to Montreal in the second Period to see them cut the lead to 1.Montreal then made the equaliser with 1 minute 30 seconds left in the second.

Florida then took the lead 3-2 until the last five minutes of the game, Kovalchuk then scored 2 Goals in less then 30 seconds.

Reinprecht has scored in his last 5 games.

Fleury was in the net, Kolzig was expected to start the game buy Guy changed his mind at the last minute just to send in fleury.

Guy' comment on Fleury's Performance "Fleury didnt play such a bad game but i do expect more from him. Next game is Kolzig's game for sure"

With that win Montreal is now 6-0-0 as Panthers went 4-3-0 with a 6th place in the standings.

All new comers to Montreal had a point on the score sheet.

October 25th Game 7: Canadiens 5 - Ducks 1

Stajan 1 Goal 1 Assist - Kostitsyn 1 Goal 1 Assist - York 1 Goal - Axelsson 1 Goal - Whitney 1 Goal - Yelle 1 Assist - Salei 1 Assist - Ballard 1 Assist

The Montreal Canadiens dominated the Ducks the whole game, Taking the lead 1-0 in the first.

Reinprecht did not score so his goal streak comes to and end with 1 goal in every one of his last 5 games. Reinprecht did get some shot on goals and missed two open nets, the first one was with 16:52 left in the first period and the second chance came with 11:45 left in the first period.

Kolzig was at his best and guy's comment to tonight's performance by Kolzig is "He was incredible, he seemed to be "in the game" the whole time, He will start next game once again"

Other then that the game was pretty "boring" may i say.

Next game is against Carolina, Carolina is 4-2-1 this season.
