Also, at the end of the installation instructions it tells me:
You need a few more files (genbhnhl, gfxpak,...) in your NHL08 main folder
What the heck are these and where do I get them? |

I did EXACTLY what the readme file says to install the roster update but when I try to load NHL08 on XP is boots me out and gives me a windows error message. What is the problem?

Changing player styles isn`t easy and havn`t no effect. Ratings are important.

ok...I've followed all intructions, copied the exhibition files files over to MyDocuments\NHL08, I have copied the db.viv file to NHL08\db, I have installed the ImpBIG, genbhnhl, & gfxpak, and I've ran BHImport08, yet I sill get the message "nhlexe.com is not working" when I go to run the game and it does not load up. Any suggestions?

what are u using xp or vista?
1. Copy db.viv to C:\Program Files\EA Sports\NHL08\db XP Users
or C: \My Documents\NHL08\db Vista Users
2.copy exhibition.exh and exhibition.exha.tdb
to My Documents\NHL08\
3. copy BHImport08.bat to C:\Program Files\EA Sports\NHL08 XP Users
or Vista 32 BHImport.bat to My Documents\NHL08\ Vista users
4. ran BHImport08.bat or Vista 32 BHImport.bat |

Guys i haven't Installed this yet but .I have noticed that the shortcut on your desktop will not work after anything installed (most times) if this happens in vista "right click on the nhl08 shortcut on your desktop .Click on open file location. Make a new shortcut with the nhl .exe then copy the new shortcut to desktop .. This fixed my problems hope it helps >...... THANKS waitis

I am running Vista Ultimate....which I'm not a big fan.
Within Vista, NHL08 installs the exhibition.exh file in Documents\NHL08 (there is no NHL08\Db folder under MyDocuments...which is actually called just Documents in Vista, they drop off the "My")
Like XP, the main folder is installed in C:\Program Files\EA Sports\NHL08 (this has the db folder)
I've ran the directions as you gave them to me, but I still get the "nhl.exe is not working" message. Just to confirm...am I to overwrite the db.viv in the Program Files\NHL08\DB or do I put in with the Documents folder (as described above)?
The BH Import....am I to use the Vista_32 BHImport07 file (which is the only one I've found) and does that get copied to the Programs Files or the Documents folder based on how I have it set up?
I appreciate everyone's feedback...I'm hoping I can get this to work.

Move the db.viv in your db folder in your main NHL08 folder for example
Program Files\NHL08\DB.

watis...thank you the links worked. I did the cut&paste of the NHL08 folder into MyDocuments and that did the the trick! I appreciate the help! |

Great rosters, but to bad it screws up the goal horns  .... that needs to be fixed!! I had to instal (phnhl-goal-horns-nhl06) to fix the f_ck up!! Did it to 06 also and it f_cked up the goal hornes... 2 years ago (get with the program) Fix it please |

I'm a hawks fan and unless i'm blind, all the rookies are gone... I go to the rosters and Kane, ect, are not on the roster nor in the free agents... Any idea as to why ??? |

Glad you still around Watis :D I give you rosters a try for first time I'm planing take year off because horry hockey game lol I might get back doing rosters once thinges are settle down at my house  |

Guys and gals to installed rosters Extract to the desktop then copy exhibition.exh to my doc nhl08 folder. Then Take DB file put that in your program files then go to your nhl08 main then to your db folder then put that in there over ride both of them. Then take the bhimport thingie stick that into your program files then into your main nhl08 folder then run bhimport then you should be set. If you get alot errors try windows avd one care from www.iobit.com it's free works great!
BlackThunderx4 you need nhlview to access the hidden rookies I hope that helps you out. |
