Get another free copy of NHL 2009

Hello Again,

Last months contest went great, so many people continued to help and do what the NHLDepot is known for. We will be offering another copy of NHL 09 this month.

This month’s contest is simple. Upload, Upload, Upload.

Dust off the old addons you have on your computer and mix in some new ones. Help make the download section the most complete resource on the net. Extra credit will be given for original work.

We will give a copy of the game to the member that uploads the most files this month.

Please search for duplicates and note if you are uploading other peoples work please give full credit to the creator. The readme file usually contains the needed information and should be posted in the description, people love pictures there too.

Hello,

I think most people upload their work as they want their add-ons to be downloaded and shared with others and also get the respect and credit that comes with making useful add-ons.

The problem comes with people that take an add-on and change a number or two and call it their work, where in reality someone else has done all the hard work. This is where I think permission comes in. You should not edit anyone’s work and/or pass it off as your own without permission from the original creator.

I think sharing (not changing) others work giving full credit to the creator would be o.k with most add-on creators, or it kinda defeats the point of uploading it to the net in the first place.

Neo101, not just anything, but useful NHL add-ons, tools, etc.

If you take a look the 2004 section and other areas are empty due to a server move

I understand, Jerseys by DRutka are off limits. Please don't upload them. I will just have to remove the posts and that’s just more work for everyone. Otherwise get uploading, I'm sure lots of people would love to get more exposure for their work.

anyone's work is off limits unless they are specifically asked. This is a rule that was made up a long time ago and people have followed it. Some haven't and are no longer around. This is not up for debate regardless of who runs what site. If you want people to come here, you follow the code, plain and simple

Currently, I uploaded the most files this month

As I can see on this thread, the person who uploads the most files this month will receive NHL09 for pc. That's not important -my goal is not to upload tons of stolen files and receive NHL09

, but to spread rare and useful tools, such as those from

Egorgiy.

For a few days, hundreds of people downloaded it and that's the most important and also a purpose of this site.

LMFAO! You still don't get it do you? You uploaded other people's works.... some that are already HERE! All you did was download it, repackage it, reupload it and slap your ****ing name on it. No talent ****s like you are a huge reason why no one wants to make anything these days. Add in the fact that everything made already works for every game from NHL06 and up, so why remake it?

You're not doing anything special and you figure since you've uploaded so much you should get a free game? You know what would've worked? Posting a link to the exsisting download.

Also, like I give a flying **** what some noob says about me. I've been here since 2001 and I've made a lot of addons of my own that have gotten a lot of downloads and compliments. I don't have to answer to anyone on this site, so you can sit there and continue to re-upload exsisting addons OR you can be a nice guy you think you are and just post a friggin link to the exsisting addon.

I thought that Yammer is Yank, because I was pretty sure that City of champions (location in his profile) is Pittsburgh (some people say it is Detroit), but google is probably right and it says that is Edmonton.

Useful or not, they are NOT yours to upload. Thus, it IS add-on theft.
