As you can tell, NHL Depot has already begun to change. We are on a brand new server which will eliminate all of the DNS issues that were being presented to users. This basically means that any problems you may of encountered which prevented you from not viewing the site should now be fixed. Right now we are in the process of uploading the remaining files that belong in the download section of the site. This should be up and functioning 100% during the weekend at some point.
Next on the agenda will be that of filling out the NHL Depot staff. We are looking to grow our team to about 10 or 12 people. Positions for Graphics/Moderators/Tech Support/NHL Addons Makers will be open. A few people have already expressed interest in joining our team. If you have already not, please send me a PM over the forums stating what role you'd like to fill and what you could bring to the team.
Where does NHL Depot go now? Many people have asked what the plan is with Depot. Well the plan is to build it back up, we almost have to start from scratch. We will be doing some cleaning up around here. So this means anyone who has not logged into their account in the past 2 years will find that their account will no longer exist. 3000-4000 people fall under this category. We will be deleting those accounts this weekend.
Anyone whose have uploaded a custom avatar or profile pic will notice that they no longer exist. The reason we cleared all that out was that there was over a gig in space being used. You do still have the capability of re uploading an avatar and profile pic which should solve this problem.
If you notice anything not working properly, please feel free to post in the support forum. We will gladly take care of it.
Now getting back to Depot, we plan on growing it back to being the best hockey forums on the net. That means for NHL Gaming and General Hockey talk. A lot of work has to be done, but together we can bring this site back to the forefront.
