Yammer Vintage Goalie Pad

Keep in mind, not many of us had the funds to go out and buy street hockey goalie pads. Actually, we were lucky to get a plastic blade on our broken sticks at times.
So when we went around and collected pop bottles and sh<O>it for our own bottle drive, we made enough cash to buy two sets of old time goalie gear. You know, the ones that were crap brown. Well, using some home supply of paint, I cleaned them up a bit. This is an actual recreation of the pads I painted.

2X 2X 2X! Why not just make everything is 2X, that way if you buy a future game of NHL, you can just use that 2X pad. But it's your choice. Now for the pad. Plain, but I suppose it's because you painted it yourself. The shading on the black and white could use some work. Not bad.

keep in mind that a) I am new the goalie gear. b) I DONT HAVE 2003! So 2x equipment isn't gonna help anything.
and I did try this design on this temp in game and it didn't turn out right. Its the temp so it sucked.

Might as well prepare for the future, because your gonna be pissed when you buy the next game and you have to remake all your stuff to 2X. 2X addons have become a new standard, and alot of people who download stuff would like to go for the 2X stuff rather than 1x.

I do all my jerseys in 4x and when I'm finished I resize them to 1x, because it starts taking up WAY too much space if you install everything as 2x.

Only if you have a small HD Then again, I doubt that any system sold today has lower than a 30gb HD... possibly 40gb.

but whats the big deal with 2x? I mean it has to get sized down eventually. Maybe for presentation purposes, but I dont know.

Well, I only have a 20gb HD, but that's because it saved me a bunch of cash when I ordered the PC... IT's not the space that's the true problem, it's the fact that if you have a gig and a half of graphics to load while you're playing, it'll slow things down... LIke Yammer was saying, it all get's resized down eventually, so make it big, get all the little detail, then size it down for addon use, either way, it's the same quality, one is just far less spacier

but in certain years, like 2002, you have to resize it back to 1x. So whats the use? I mean if I had 2003(and I refuse to buy it) I could see that 2x can still be added to the game. Or is that how that sh<O>it works?

Did you read my first post? lol. I was just saying that maybe you want to use some of your addons for future games like NHL 2004, so you might as well make them in 2x. Because right now, all of your addons are in 1x, and 2x is a new standard of quality for addons. Rather than starting from scratch, it could make it a little easier on you.
