(I can list my idea's now in full as I have you guys as witnesses to my project, I have been ripped off before making mods for other games and conceptual ideas, so I was using caution this time around, better to be safe than sorry)
My aim is to do a total remake of the Leafs from their last cup winning year of 1966-67, Sorry long List Now, But it is a total conversion so what would you expect plus it's 100% Historical to who they are and 90% Historical to what they wore back in the good old days and played on.
I have been researching this for just over the last month now, and this is what I have come up with.
Rosters: -
I will be using a roster and deleting all the current Leafs and I will be adding the 24-man squad from that season into the Roster complete with Full stats such as DOB, Positions the usual stuff and also the skill level of each player.
Along with the rosters I will hope to be doing a full 24 player photo pack to accompany the rosters and Arena Pics.
Right now I think cyber faces will be to long and hard to do, I realise that players back then did now wear helmets / just starting to, but for NHL 2003 I know that they have to wear them so no real big deal for that, But I think it will be to time consuming to do, so no cybers will be made at this date every player will have the same face for now.
Back then players did not have their names on the back of their jerseys this came around in 1980 when the league made it a new rule to display player names, for this mod only I will also include player names on their backs just so you know who you are playing with just in case you don't associate that number to a player (this was also why that rule was brought in during 1980 as the league also thought fans and new followers to the game might not know who is who etc.)
There will not be any in game player specific speech I.E Sundin shoots the puck he scores, so it will just be the basic wow look at that score look at the goal.

Jersey Requirements: -
Jerseys I wish to enlist the help of a well talented jersey maker to recreate the exact style of jerseys worn back in this time period, I.E no mesh material etc. Unless this can't be done then no big deal, but the jerseys have to be accurate as possible logo and style wise to back then. Same goes for socks and pants, also pants should just be blue and white with no maker makes I.E Nike CCM etc. Maybe an older style Leafs Logo but I'll have to research that to see if they did or did not have team logos on pants back then, I don't think they did.
Jersey style will be taken from the Cup Finals of that year as the Leafs played in a few jerseys with different styles of Maple Leaf logo's.
On a History Note I believe still back in the 60's Blue was for home and white was away for the Leafs, I need help on that any fellow Leaf / Hockey historians out any assistance on that would be grateful.
Player Equipment (Just sticks) I want these to be just plain brown with CCM in a darker brown / black on the shaft.
If anyone wishes to do these, photos will be available to post here or send in email upon request.
Gloves might also be changed to like they were back then but the style and shape as changed a lot so the temps might not allow for this in NHL 2003, If anyone is interested in Glove Making I can get pics to you upon request, again now brand names on the gloves but they are some markings in pics I have seen of the 60's Leaf Gloves.
Jersey Lettering / Numbering Maker for authentic looking 60's style numbering, Blue and white, Photos available upon request again.
NO NEED FOR SKATES, these can stay the same as they are in 2003 no one will pay much attention to the difference in shape or care about the actual rule change in skates from then to now.

Goalie Gear: -
Way back then there were no helmet / just coming into the form of face masks only. yet again in NHL 2003 you can't have a goalie without a Mask, So I would like someone to make a Fantasy Mask in Leafs Blue (Exact Shade name is Royal Blue I believe), As there where no helmets let alone art work back then I think just the Leafs logo of this time frame should be put above the cage of the mask.
Also back then goalies pretty well wore the exact same equipment so no need to make 1 set for J.Bower or 1 set for T.Sawchuk or 1 set for B.Gamble etc. So this mod will be simple just make 1 set and every goalie on the rosters can wear the same stuff.
Goalie Pads, Blocker and Catcher, these were pretty much light tan / camel in colour when new, then when broken in they started to get a darker brown colour due to so much game usage.
Goalie Sticks, back then they were the same colour as regular player sticks, brown in colour and usually again made by CCM which would also be in brown or black lettering on the lower shaft.

I'm trying to find pics on what the ice looked like back in the 60's obviously there would be no logos on the ice either, I also think that there was no mention of the Arena's name at centre ice like there is today, instead just the regular red and blue lines and marks on the ice will suffice for this mod, I will try to find pics on line or in my books about Leaf Players.
Boards: - Again No adverts on the boards here, just plain white / creamish look in colour, with the regular red and yellow and blue paint effects around the rails, But I would like puck marks and minor board wear just so it has some different colour in it to make them look so plain and boring.

Sorry that my requests are pretty huge in this mod, But I hope you can understand I need the best add-on makers out there to help work with me on this project, and seeing as I don't make add-ons hardly at all only for personal use / not that good, that's why I brought it to your attention, Plus I'm doing the boring crap of being the book worm for historical facts and stats etc. In this mod. I'm sure making the jersey is more fun than my research crap, LoL
