In no particular order or alphabetical?

1. Francis Bouillon
2. Steve Begin
3. Jaroslav Halak
4. Sergei Kostitsyn
5. Maxim Lapierre
6. Guillaume Latendresse
7. Alexander Perezhogin
8. Tomas Plekanec

Well I guess I only got to 8.

My highs

1. Mark Streit (Most under rated player of the NHL)(50pts, most versatile player of the NHL at 600 000$!!! )(Koivu has 50pts. He costs: 4,750,000$/yr)
2. Carey Price (Amazing Rookie)
3. Alex Kovalev (Amazing this year, Great Leader)
4. Tomas Plekanec (Amazing this year)
5. Andrei Markov (Great passer)
6. Mike Komisarek (He hits hard )
7. Sergei and Andrei Kostitsyn (I like both at the same level)
8. Roman Hamrlik (Great defenceman)

My lows
1. Patrice Brisebois (Keeping Rookies in Hamilton)
2. Saku Koivu (Might be a good leader but he has rly slowned down this year. Kovalev should be captain. Takes useless penaties.)
3. Brian Smolinski (Just not performing like he used to)

While admittedly I'm not much of a Canadiens fan...

1. Alexei Kovalev, an absolute wizard with the puck
2. Carey Price, who's having an extremely solid rookie season - the skates of Cristobal Huet are hard ones to fit, and Carey fits them perfectly.
3. Andrei Kostitsyn, for his gritty play and team spirit (His "fight" with Wade Redden, for example)
4. Andrei Markov, one of the best blueliners in the conference, and top three in the divison
5. Mike Komisarek, Montreal's very own Dion Phaneuf
6. Tomas Plekanec, who's having a season better than anybody expected
7. Guillaume Latendresse, nice and gritty
8. Roman Hamrlik, a very reliable blueliner
9. Mark Streit, for his versatility
and finally...
10. Jaro Halak, who manages to be awesome despite relatively little NHL experience

My BIGGEST question is regarding KOIVU...
I need to tip the scale right now... I don't particularly love Koivu those past years, and especially THIS YEAR... he doesn't really demonstrate on the ice WHY he does wear the "C"... He's not a role model on the ice... Tonight, against the NYR, I've heard his name ONLY 1 TIME by the commentators... as for RYDER...

dsk67 didn't even put Koivu in his top 15... that's 5 chances for him beyond the top 10 I asked and he's not even there!!
dirkdiggs wants Koivu+Ryder out...
blake1572, a NYR fan, couldn't even name our CAPTAIN... The only player he's been able to name was Kovalev... (the true leader this year...)
I didn't put Koivu in my top 10...

BUT
Cherryblaster have Koivu in his heart like his life was depending on it...
Synergy1415P3 have Koivu at #3
Supra have him as #8 (still he's far behind in his favorite... #8 isn't good considering he's the captain and the supposed leader)

SOOO... help me tipping the scale about Koivu.
My choice of player consists of 8 players... that should be about:
4/5 forwards (I'd prefer 4)
2/3 defensemen (I'd prefer 3)
1/2 goalies (I'd prefer 1)

Thanks a lot to continue to help me designing my next add-on (maybe some of you is starting to understand what I may do with all of this :P but I won't tell it right away!)

Thanks a lot!!!
first of all...i know this post is REALLY old and stuff... but i felt like i needed to reply to this... and i didnt even check if there was already any response to this, but here we go...

mate... with no intent of being rude or anything... but, seriously, being a captain, of a team (not only hockey, sports, in general) is not about being the cool star of the team (whom everybody knows, for the habs would be Kovalev...) it requires, overall, experience, capacity of leadership, or even loyalty for the team... no one can deny that in Koivu... im not saying hes the greatest player or anything, but cmon...hes got around 15 years playing for the habs, hes experienced, and represents well the team, more than any other player in the roster... he does deserve to be the captain... mostly anyone that got to cheer along for the habs, would agree hes the one for the C...
i dunno... just my opinion...
