Official NHL Cyberface List (current)

Okay.

For years we've amassed a huge stockpile of cyberfaces from all the great artists out there. Thing is, we can never seem to get it together and have one big master list, since its a lot of work to catalog everything and see who needs a face and who doesn't.

Until now.

I know you guys have taken the initiative to create the key cybers project, and that's great - but there are still problems with artists remaking the same faces over and over again every year, when there are perfectly good faces already done. So here's what I've done to hopefully help create an NHL game where almost every single player has a face.

I've combed the sites and catalogued all the cyberfaces available from 2005 onward. The attached PDF contains a list of all the players currently in the NHL, their FAC0 number for NHL08 and a colour code as to which players have faces made by CF makers, which ones have CF's by EA and which players dont have faces at all.

I hope this guide will help the CF makers to decide which guys should have CF's made over ones which have been done 4x times already. If you scan through the list you'll see some players have 4 cybers made by different artists. As new faces are made, I will update the list. If there are faces on there that have been done, let me know in this thread so I can update the list as well - there were a lot of names to sort through, so I may have missed a bunch.

My next step will be to collect all of these faces and create a mega-pack with every cyber created from 2005, with IDs renumbered so they show up in NHL08. If there are any artists out there who oppose, let me know and I wont use your cybers in the collection.

Hope this helps...

Awesome Drezz, this is what is needed. I hear you - when you say too many cybers are made over and over, when previously great ones are already made.

I hope your list helps organize things a bit better now and that it gets looked at first by cf makers when choosing a cyber to make -- and that the cyber hasn't been made before.

I quickly looked at the list and:

Sean O'Donnell was done by EA (maybe you meant, that they don't look like they should)
Scott Niedermayer was done by EA (maybe you meant, that they don't look like they should)
Jason King was done by Elite 07.
Chris Thorburn was dne by Jo-Naz. Take a look at his works. They are perfect.
Ondrej Pavelec was done by someone from Slovakia. This addon also included the mask for him.
Tobias Enstrom was done by EA.
Fred Brathwaite was done by RHL-MOD team, but I don't know if he is still necessary, now he is playing in Avangard Omsk, not in Chicago Wolves.
Jesse Schultz was done by someone in sportsgamer.com in his Vancouver cyberpack (last year Schultz played for Cunucks affiliate)
Manny Malhotra was done by Jo-Naz
Fredrik Norrena was done by Greger on slapshot.se
Joakim Lindstrom was done specially for me by me friend.
Andreas Eriksson was done by RHL-MOD team.
Mark Smith was done by someone who did Sharks cyberpack. (it could be Ricci or Ronaldo)
Tomi Maki was done by someone on sportsgamer.cm
Magnus Johansson was done by Greger on slapshot.se
Petri Kontiola can be found in FHR
Vojtech Polak as done by Jo-Naz in his first cyberpack.
Joel Lundqvist was done by EA for 05 and 06 (2 different versions)
Daniel Cleary was done by Bolgar
Kirk Maltby the same
Brett Lebda the same
Jiri Hudler the same and by someone else, also on sportsgamer.com
Jimmy Howard the same
Mikael Samuelsson the same
Kyle Quincey the same
Evan McGrath the same
Johan Franzen was done by EA
Tomas Holmstrom was done by Bolgar
Denis Grebeshkov was done by RHL-MOD team.
Erik Ersberg was dne by Elitserien 07 team
Lauri Tukonen was done by Ramse
Niklas Backstrom was done by FHR
Branko Radivojevic was done by Jo-Naz
Vitaly Vishnevsky was done by someone from sportsgamer.com

Good Luck with that Drezz. That will probably take a while won't it. At least it's something to look forward to.

Just wondering, if a cyber is made by more than one artist, how will you decide which one's to use?

Grebs was also done by Ronaldo. Idn if you have a standard or something though.

That is indeed an excellent question. When it comes to mine or BraDox cybers, I'll make it easy.

Drezz - you can put in all BraDox and Brad26 ones in this pack. However, if the cyber in question is shared by another artist, you can choose the other one if you like - to make things fair. I won't be offended by that at all.

Thanks for the help! Where can I get Bolgar's stuff - is it still at SG?

The one that looks the closest to the photo. Some are better quality than others, so i guess you'll have to trust my judgement.

Would it be possible to sort the players by team, and then alphabetically by surname? Right now, it's easy to find the team, but the players don't seem to be in any sort of order within their teams, and it requires a lot of careful scanning to spot them.

Actually, sorting by team might not be the best way to go. Even with the current CBA, trades do happen.

Also, I've got about 600 cyberfaces compiled as a single pack for my personal use in case I need to reinstall, and I've kept track of who did what. I could send you my text file to help fill in the blanks on your list.
