Wow that sounds amazing and if you are the one who did the 72 USSR-Canada patch I know that this patch will be a perfect patch.

Can i ask how you got the names above the Team Logo? I'm trying to add some fantasy teams to my NHL07 and that's the last thing i need to figure out. I have downloaded the Team_Localize_Fixer from Kulibins, but not too sure where to put it or how it works. Sorry to spam your thread, but i see you've done exactly what i need help with. thanx

Its really cool to see someone making classic teams

The best possible idea would be if someone would make an all time greats roster for each nhl (and ex nhl) and world teams. I always wanted to be able to play the All-time Sabres vs all the old All time teams like the original six, or even All-Time Edmonton. I'm sure alot of people would love this, someone has to be able to figure it out.

My personal project is to replace the hidden players with retired NHL players born in 1929-1959. I use NHL View for creating players. Now I have about 80 players (Bobby Clarke, Glenn Hall, Paul Henderson, Carl Brewer, Barry Beck, Rod Gilbert and many others), but in a couple of months I'll have hundreds of players.

Great idea! I assume though, that players such as Gretzky, Messier, Orr, and Fuhr will be called stuff like "Iceman", "Champ" and "Lefty" in the commentary?

I don't know about VladTretiak's rosters, but in my personal project players will have their correct last names if those are available in the game: Paul Henderson (pbp Jay Henderson), Bobby Orr (pbp Colton Orr), Carl Brewer (pbp Eric Brewer), Larry Robinson (pbp Nathan Robinson), Bob Gainey (pbp Steve Gainey) and many many others. Now I have created over 130 players by replacing hidden players with those oldtimers - and I have still hundreds of them to do.

if you paired bobby orr with colton orr, wouldn't there be several occasions where jim hughson will say "here comes colton orr!"

Maybe there will be a situation when Jim says "here comes Colton Orr", but in my opinion that's not a big problem. Mostly he just says "Orr", "Orr shoots" or "Smith passes to Orr".

The most important thing to me is the game and the players on ice, not the play by play announcers.

Very nice! Are you going to do Cyberfaces and whatnot for all the players too?

ONE thing though, maybe hue/saturate the Canadian pants there to make them a bit more blue and a bit less purple. Not sure how it'll turn out ingame, but right now it looks a bit too violet.

I know for Salaval94's WHA Mod, i offered to do some CF's. BUT...he said that it was too hard to find good quality pics and alot were in black and white. My guess is that CF's will probably not be included. :/ Who knows though, i'm just speculating.

That might be true for people like Vladamir Tretiak, Bobby Orr or Guy Lafleur (big time sp I'm sure), but it shouldn't be too hard to find '82 Oilers pix for cyberfaces, and even easier to get pictures from teams from the mid 90s onward.

Is the alternative giving them all created player faces? It's hard to get any variety there, so they'd look all the same in the close-up cinematics.
