NHL View:Delayed.....

I've just heard from Artem thru his forums. He's been working damn near around the clock since the beginning of september with a new client at his computer firm. (like 9AM to 3AM EVERY DAY, seven days a week busy, no s h i t!!) He assures us View is coming when the workload at work decreases abd asks we be patient. In lieu of this continue using my method using the uploaded DB I upped. Unzip to desktop,, then open IT and your normal dynasties, exhibition, and season rosters. It will edit normally in all phases, and the ONLY thing you CANNOT do is view season or dynasty stats. I nor he have figured out why yet, but it's perfectly safe.

Again, use modded db. Download it to your DESKTOP.

Open View. First db is your desktop one (NOT Your normal one), then opem normal exh. and or dynasty/season in your NORMAL doucmenys nhl08 folder. Edit til cows come home. (First time you'll get a duplicates error message. Disgard it and don't worry if View crashes after the first save only. Nothing is lost and nothing is wreaked.)

To edit further just open the desktop db again and normal db's

To be safe Run BH Import every time after editing. Again only stats do not show up but editing is 100% normal as if View is working for 08.

Artem is alive, well, exhuasted and will get to View when he can. In the meantime he passes along his regards, and says just do this or the alternate method JSlavos came up with. Either works peachy keen...

View will be issued when TIME PERMITS. Bitching and grumbling will not speed things along. Besides editing is normal if you use the db I just upped...

Thank you for your patience...

The TCE editor is now out. I'll have a full EA Definitions list for what does what up shortly. That and a bump for those who haven't seen this yet....

I'm glad to know that Artem is doing well, just very tired from working all those crazy hours. I can fully understand that he hasn't had the time to work on adding 08 support for View because of this. I hope things slow down enough for him at work so he can work on that for us eventually. We'll keep doing it either the way Jimbo does it or the Biggui way though until then.

For those of you who don't want to put the db on desktop and so on, Egorgiy patched the NHLview07 to work with nhl08 database files. This is NOT a new version of nhlview, it's just a small patch.
Here it is: http://www.files.pkhl.ru/egorgiy/nhlview_2008.rar

I have downloaded it but haven't really had a chance to fart around with things on it yet. Jimbo has said that it works fine but you still can't find the stats in your season/dynasty files. Probably not until we get a brand new version of View will we be able to find the stats (provided Artem can find where they are located that is). This will definitely do until then however. Later!!

I've used NHLView with the db on the desktop (Except it's not on my desktop, it's in another directory, I was tired of seeing it on my desktop). It works fine. Make sure you run BHImport.bat from your NHL 08 directory or else the game crashes.
