kings cyberfaces feedback thread

This my first attempt at making a some 2x king's cyberfaces. I am still very much a noob learned mostly form unorthodox's tutorial. I think I got the lining up part down, still learning how to blend and recreate hair and tweak in .ebo editor. I would like any constructive feedback so that I can get better. This seems like the right place for any advice.

Wow man, wow.

This isn't your first cyber though, is it? It's awesome!

The model choice is perfect, and the texture is very well sharpened. Very great for the start!

looks a little too sharpened, but its a good start. Try to blend those edges in a little better with the clone tool.

Improved blending, lowered sharpness, less eye saturation and new hair ears. Does that looked finished? Or do you think it could improved. I can't tell sometimes after staring at his face for two hours lol.

very nice! You seem to have gotten the hang of blending The eyes still look like they are too dark though (copy his eyes directly from the picture and paste them ontop)

rolie, if it helps I'd suggest making your cybers in regular 1x resolution until you really get good at it. Its just a lot easier to learn the basics when working on a smaller scale.

I'll try that but i already these other 5 this week. I need specifics as to what needs to be fixed. You won't hurt my feelings or anything.
I made these other 5 faces . Can specifically whats wrong with them? I know I'm still a noob.

Well you've recycled a couple cybers from brad and myself from our LA kings pack which isn't really too cool. Its fine when you are using an EA made texture as you're base but when you take a texture someone else has made and overlay your face its kind of bordering on stealing since you didn't make most of the texture and you didn't select the model.

Its cool this time around, but just something to keep in mind.

[edit]
As for your question about what needs to be fixed about your cybers, I'd say you are on the right track. Nothing needs to be exactly 'fixed' its just a matter of taking the basic skill set you have now with overlaying the main face texture and expanding on it. Things such as moving on to making the sides of the face, neck, hair ect. As well as getting better at your model selections. its just practice basically and like I said you have the basics down already so keep at it

I've always used the smudge tool with a low opacity for my blending

damn sorry my mistake. I thought I was using defaults at the time cuz they were 1x. I forgot i downloaded the pnhl faces.

Is it too much to ask if I use your bases for templates. I just want to update them to 2x.

I tried smudge but it got messy fast. I guess I gotta use lower opacity. What about the liquify filter for lining stuff up? I tried that on a couple faces and I could freeze certain parts and expand the outer face.

Well its better to not blend at all and copy+paste the sides in then use the clone tool to touch it up. I'd rather you not use them as a base and like I said I'd suggest doing your work in 1x for now, it will help with the learning process.

ok ill try those tips, just to make sure im not using your faces as a base. These are the only ones you guys already did that are on the current kings roster:

886 - Armstrong
1966 - O'Sullivan
845 - Thornton
1066 - Cammalleri
2032 - Brown

heres my try at 1x. I did notice it was hella easier. I guess it hides my mistakes very well haha. I only really notice a huge drop out in quality when zooming all the way in. I tried to incorporate more of the neck and redo the hair but definitely easier 1x. I think im getting a hang for the cheek lining although I didn't use the copy paste method. Itried liquify and cleaning with the clone tool.

I tried ebo editor but I couldn't open up the ebo file. I read brad's tutorial but I still couldn't open it. I tried the lines to edit but I only see even numbers lines in hex editor. I tried the eboconverter.zip link but the link was down so I'm stuck.

the ebo edit thing will kill you first, I know what I'm talking about, it's very difficult at the beginning.

The faces you've done looks pretty good, eventhough most of the faces look a bit too fat and their lips looks a bit big too. heck it's 100 times better than what i would have done
