Barney's Mask Glitch Fix 07 V 1.0

Hey there,

I have known the solution to the mask bug for quite some time, but have never gotten around to fixing it until this weekend. Came up with a great fix, fixing the default masks for some teams (kipper for CGY, toskala for TOR and Fernandez for BOS) and also used the fantasy mask solution for a lot of the goalies who's equipment I could find. This fix will include/fix the following (this is off the top of my head):

Boston: Fernandez (default mask), Thomas, Rask, Sigalet
Calgary: Kiprusoff (default mask)
Colorado: Theodore (default mask), Budaj
Detroit: Hasek (default mask) Osgood, the one who's name starts with H (the name escapes me)
Montreal: Huet (default), Halak, Price (to come)
Toronto: Toskala (fantasy toronto mask, default), Raycroft

* Now, there are some goalies not included that will be in future updates as I find equipment for them.

* This update will, with permission, include BvH roster version 39

*Small updates will arrive with this

* Here's the catch: I NEED SOMEONE TO UPLOAD IT FOR ME --> I will send it in 4 parts, as my slow internet would take 35 mins to upload it, which I don't want to do.

* Oh, and this won't come until the weekend, when I have time

* Any questions can be asked, and will be answered here as well as comments, concerns, and offers for uploading. With help, this addon will be great

Sounds promising......did you test it in your NHL? And more importantly, did it work?

Could you explain again? I don't understand what exactly is being done. It sounds like something that has been done before.

I'm guessing that its a bug where the game doesn't put on the correct mask? I have Toskala with the mask that the back-up for Vancover wore last season(Forget his name)

Well the game has 'Team Masks'

Which run from the goalies_helm_8000 numbers and all you have to do is change those. Or assign backups with mask numbers in the 5500's.

I dont know why he would have a mask from Vancouver though, I havent heard of that happening - unless something was installed over the toronto team mask.

i hate the team masks.... why would ea even put this??? i hope this glitch fix fixes that, example: toskala wearing his skull mask and raycroft wearing his mask w/ mlg and ex leafs instead of them both wearing a silver mask w/ a blue maple leaf in the middle

yes, this is supposed to fix the mask glitch, tested in my game, and it works. I though I was clear, but I guess I tried too hard. So, I changed the default masks for each of the seven teams that have the default mask bug, and I assigned the 5500 masks for the other goaltenders on those teams.

@ Unorthadox, the object of this is to make people happy and stop making useless threads asking "why does the mask I made for toskala not showing up". As I said, the solution has been discovered by others (I think it was you) but this is to make life easier for other people

And yes, this will fix the issue with Toskala and Raycroft

Anyway, hope that clears any confusion. Any more, just post here.

yeah thats cool, I was just wondering if you figured something else out - like somehow managed to eliminate team masks or something.

haha, that would be too good to be true. I tried, and it made every goalie turn pink.... Oh wait, I forgot to run BHImport, I better try again when I get home. I bet it won't work, though. In a way I kinda hope it doesn't or else this will have been a waste of my time :p
