Hey Guys!!

I have done a few add-ons back in the day under the gusto of -s l o v a k- these were mainly for NHL 2005, but since then I have not really had the time or the need for that matter to do any more thanks to some of the great work found on these forums (PNHL for example is a blessing ) However, in light of the fact that my favorite team (Washington) has released a new jersey and no-one has made a recreation to my liking I have decided to give it a swing.

Here is what I'm thinking... I will make the jerseys (based on a slightly edited McEdge temp; gloves via McGlove25 temp) and I was wondering if anyone was interested in making the numbers and letters for this little project! Also, if anyone is gifted at making goalie pads/equipment, then I believe that Olie Kolzig and Brent Johnson will need new gear (but I would like to keep their masks from PNHL). So here is what we are looking at:

Jerseys - I can take care of those... as a matter of fact I have done so already
Numbers and Letters - whoever can do these beauties it's all in your hands... just reply (also i have some examples of how they look if you need them)
Goalie Gear - I would like to see numerous equipment being submitted; and maybe we can make a poll and select the ones we want or something.
.bat file - I barely remember how to make these things anymore, and I dont remember how to import the jersey and numbers/letters into that single file... if anyone can do that that would be wonderful!!

So without further adu... here are the road and home jerseys for the caps . Please feel free to leave back any feedback

Actually the attempts at the new Capitals jerseys I have seen are pretty good. I put Yammer's in-game because they are very accurate. You really should choose your words carefully. I think all attempts were reasonable.

Thanks. Yes you are correct. Yammers attempt was nice indeed; however there were some things that were incorrect, just like im sure there will be with mine. I did not mean to create an argument, and for that reason i will edit my post.

Let's just keep this thread clean of arguments cause that's not what this is about

No arguments. I'm just trying to tell you before someone else saw it. Btw, your jersey does look pretty good. I'm not sure if the collar would work in game though...


Take some in-games of the jersey. So we can see how it looks so far.

They look good. You need to get rid of the NHL logo on the back though, they moved it to the collar, where you already have it. Also, I think your colors are a little dark but that could just be me.

I would really like to bro but I cant because I dont remember how to add all the necessary stuff to the game file, or write a bat file for that matter... if you would like to give it a shot be my guest I would love that actually!

I think you might be right about the colors... Do you think both the blue and red are off or only the blue?? I think the red is fine, but I might have over done it with the blue... maybe we will wait for some in-game pics??

Oh and good call on the NHL logo... did not even notice that!!

add the stitching to the piping and use the outline of the edge socks.

the socks have the edge design outline in them.

how does the collar line up in the game? i've made all the new jerseys for my game but I can't get the collar lined up right.

Thanks for the comments, but if I'm not mistaken, the Capitals dont use the Edge socks... if you check gettyimages and look at their jersey unveiling night you will see that the edge socks are not part of the team design.

In regards to the collar, I have no idea how it works, if I did my measurments right then it should work without a problem; however, I have no idea how to import these into the game. If you would like to give it a shot that would be fantastic!! Thanks a lot for the advice and comments mate!!

the home red, the eagle shoulder crests are outlined in white, and the socks are reversed, with blue, a red stripe, white stripe, then red. And the red crest is inaccurate as well as the white outline follows the the lettering and is not a base "base" like you have it. Other then those things freakin awesome work, the most accurate so far...

Excellent! Thanks a lot for pointing those things out!!! It might take me a little while to get that logo all accurate, and I noticed that in the red jersey the logo is actually on a red patch background... all this means more work needs to be done But great work picking up on those errors, it'll do my best to edit them as soon as possible Cheers bro!

your logo sits way too high on the chest. And it looks like your design on the arms if off.
Also, mine was a WorkInProgress which means there are going to be some mistakes until its up on the download server

I'm not sure about the logo sitting too high.. it might the be the case.. I really need to see it in the game to know for sure. I think that the design on the arm is correct, that was one of the reasons I decided to do my version of the uniform; your design, while great, was a little different than what (i believe) the uniform looks like. Nontheless all is well

Thanks for the advice, i'll have to look into the location of the logo a little more By the way, have you done the numbers and letters for your caps pack?? If so would you mind if I used them with this jersey set? I really dont feel like making the letters/nums and I trust you have that pretty down packed!

EDIT: I threw the jerseys into the game and the logos are placed correctly I might need to edit the shoulder patches a little, but other than that everything looks pretty nice!! I'm thinking that I might just do the letters and digits too... we shall see

word, word... these are not going to be too bad. They are pretty basic, so it's all well and good

Oh and some of you have noted that the collar wont work in the game... well you are correct, my initial version of the collar does not work; however, i am going to fix that soon

I uploaded an edited version of the jerseys... here is what has been fixed:
1. The logos and socks are now the way they should be (big thanks to Jimbo66!)
2. The collar was slightly edited, and while the photo does not make the collar look like it does on the real jersey, it works quite well in the game and I figure that's the key
3. The colors have been tweaked! The reds are more Washington's instead of the Montreal that it looks like I had, and the blues are more accurate too; they look nice in the game
