The MCHL

The NHL Lockout, would bring the end of an era, but the beginning of a far greater era of hockey. One where the center ice line, was merely for show. Where icings didn't cause broken legs and necks. The great game of hockey, would return to it's rightful birthplace and proud and nobel owner . . .

With the fall of the NHL, the NHLPA had but nowhere to go, it was on the brink of destruction. Until one Canadian, took a stand. He would become the founder, of a new 30 team league, called the Major Canadian Hockey League. The NHLPA, jumped at the chance to find their players a new home, and within weeks, signed on to a new contract, with the CMHL. However, two great Canadian franchises, also looked at the new league in the highest regard, and quickly came to them, hoping to become the first two teams of this great new league. The commissioner granted their wishes, but on one condition, they must accept the new designs, and forget about the NHL. On a last note, Goodenow was fired from the NHLPA, and Wayne Gretzky took over. The name was obviously changed to the MCHLPA.

As you may of guessed, those two teams were the Toronto Maple Leafs, and the Montreal Canadiens. However, that leaves 28 teams that have no names or cities. This is where you come in . . .

Brainstorm some names, and cities in Canada that deserve teams with NHLPA calibre players. However, none of these teams can resemble anything from the pathetic excuse known as the NHL (Sorry Jets fans, although Winnipeg can still be used ). You can even whip up some jerseys if you'd like, logos too. When it's all said and done, I'll have an entire mod for NHL 2004 completed, to overwrite that piece of **** NHL league.

If you'd like to join in on the "staff" PM me with what you can do.

Anyways, let's brainstorm.

The Surviving NHL Teams:

The Toronto Maple Leafs of the MCHL

Des Canadiens de Montreal de la LHCM

Well considering a mass league of this size is nearly impossible to happen, and if it did, it would be a LONG way down the road... I'd say throw in the Buffalo Sabres. Yes I Said Buffalo Sabres..

Because by that time.. Canada will have conquered the United States

All I did was edit these logos I found on the net, didn't make these, however I did make this next one, with slight assistance from the Chicago Bulls :P

As long as Lethbridge has 20,000+ population OR has an arena that seats 16000+

...and if you can come up with a better name, lol

I dont mean to highjack your thread but here is a nother Idea that I had.

what about a 24 team NHL or MCHL

Canada

Winnipeg Jets
Hamlton Buldogs
Tronto Maple Leafs
Montreal Canadians or moruns
Quebec Nordiques (maby)
Edmonton Oilers
Calgary Flames
Vancouver Canucks
Saskatoon
Regina
Halafax
Victoria

U.S.
Boston
Detroit
Colorado
LA
NYR
NYI
TB
STL
NJD
WAS
MIN

Europe might not be a player in this one just because of the many contries.
so thats 24 teams all together would be a intresting playofs if it was Canadian vrs American EH!
