I just tried out some of the songs in NHL 2002 because its faster that way and they generally sound alright. I rated you a B+ and here is why:
HIGHS
-great compilation
-good notes of where to use the song
-found a lot of songs I didn't know the names of
LOWS
-many duplicate songs of the same or different lengths
-bad mastering on some tracks, but difficult to hear audio errors if you have your crowd noise turned up. Since I previewed the tracks before importing, I turned my crowd up (I usually play with it barely audible).
-gain ranges greatly on different tracks, even among the duplicates of different lengths.
-many tracks have bad SNR and/or their highs/lows were above the levels allowed by the sampling rate.
As I see it, the lows are really bad, but that may come from my past experience as a sound engineer. I will have to be very picky about which tracks I use in my regular game. Its still a good pack and anyone who doesn't care about the sound quality as much as me or plays with the crowd off won't care about it too much.
If there is an update, I recommend finding clearer samples and normalising the tracks so that they are relatively equal as best as your software allows.
