New File Added: DT - Wachovia Center 2008
Downloads: A new file has been added by DT77:
DT - Wachovia Center 2008
WACHOVIA CENTER 08
One more arena before the holidays. This one is a completely remodeled & retextured, high resolution version of the Wachovia Center in Philadelphia. The update includes the following:
-1- Banners:
Includes both Stanley Cup banners as well as all of the Patrick & Atlantic Division banners, Wales, Campbell, and Eastern Conference banners. Also inlcuded are the Flyers Hall of Fame banners and the retired numbers of Bobby Clarke (16), Bill Barber (7), Barry Ashbee (4) and Bernie Parent (1). Um, what's with the 'B' obsession?
-2- Jumbotron:
Completely remodelled from scratch, it includes the two LCD rings as well as the Wachovia Center logo at the top. The stylized score-clock texture was done up in the unique Flyers style with the "NHL" as the visiting team.
-3- LCD Rings:
Kept the scrolling ads to make the LCD aspect seem more realistic. It now goes through various Flyers related images and some standard ads (Comcast, Verizon, Bud Light etc. etc.) I did mess with the model in order to add the scoreboard, shot clock and out-of-town scores at each end.
-4- Arena Ads:
Changed all of the entrance signage to the proper white/blue Geico exit signs. The proper Bud Light ads are behind each players bench along with a much better "tarp" over the entrance complete with the Flyers logo. The bench ads are accurate, and spaced such that they go between the struts in the glass. I'm not able to remove the boards behind the bench as they are in Philly, but it still looks good. In the upper bowl, I've added the "Welcome to Comcast Country" and the "Moving Forward - Toyota" ads.
-5- Miscellaneous:
I've changed the lower bowl seats to red, as they're much more common than the black ones. A few other textures have been edited slightly as well like adding the Toyota logos to the steps. Oh, I threw in the Wachovia ad on the bottom of the jumbotron too.
-6- Boards:
Includes my PHI boards from my Board Pack which, if you don't have it yet, can be downloaded HERE.
-7- Ice:
No ice. I recommend downloading TorontoFire's 2X Ice, HERE.

For all of you wanting the glass to appear as mine does in the previews, you'll have to do the following:
1. Obtain BigGUI
2. Using BigGUI, open nhl.big in the Gamedata folder, and delete the glass.fsh file
I recommend making a backup, just in case.
3. Run BHImport
Done. Just do a search of this site or the net to find the tools you may need.

I just mentioned this in the file comments, but I guess it's worth mentioning here as well: While deleting glass.fsh does let you have custom glass per arena, I believe attempting to play in any NHL arena after this which doesn't have it's own glass.fsh will cause the game to hang so anyone doing this needs to add a glass.fsh (either the default one, one of DTs, one of the ones here, or otherwise) to each of the arena*.fsh files that doesn't have one.
DT, did your pack of arenas converted from last year each have a glass.fsh? I don't have those installed.
Anyhow, this is the case for me... correct or am I overlooking something?

Yes, you do need to put a custom glass in each arena's bigfile or it'll crash, I'm pretty sure. I just took the one from DT's MSG and put it in each, since his glass is way better than EA's.
And, no, his converted arena pack from last year didn't have custom glass in it.

You will need to add a glass.fsh file to all NHL arenas if you remove the file from NHL.big. The ones that I packed up together from last year do not have the individual glass files, but if you downloaded the original files when they were released, you'd have them.
Please don't give me credit for the glass textures themselves either. I simply edited one that was on my computer. If I knew who had made it, they'd be given credit, but since they're probably from '06, I have no idea who it was. My bad, I know...
Please let me know who it was if you know!!
If someone comes forward, perhaps he/she could release a full glass pack or something, or allow me to release my own edited version.
In the mean time, just copy the glass.fsh file from NHL.big into all NHL arenas, and you should be ok.
I hope my late night rambling made some sense.
Cheers,
-DT

Jesse94 released a glass update for 06, with options for blue, red or grey barriers or without.
Check here
And here's a preview
Sorry if I hijacked your thread.

Thank you! That looks very much like the file I modified. For everyone who would like the glass.fsh file in each arena, and to be fairly accurate, I suggest they download this update - it will work for '08. If you want the orange dividers that I've modified, you should remove Philadelphia from the batch file.
Cheers,
-DT
